Touchstone are a property management company who manage circa 20,000 properties across the UK in the private rented sector, with around 1700 properties located in Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders and managed from our Edinburgh Office at Hayes Business Centre, 4 Hay Avenue, Edinburgh, EH16 4RW

Work Environment:

The Edinburgh office has a team of 12 based at Hayes Business Centre, with a mixture of Property Managers and Lettings Managers along with senior managers, Touchstone are part of The Places for People Group, and have a range of benefits and work policies, including free fruit, casual dress policy, 2 hour flexible working per week.

What might a day in this job look like?

The Trainee Lettings administrator will report directly to the Operations Manager, however will be under the guidance of an experienced Lettings Manager, general tasks will be logging keys in and out, updating adverts on lettings websites, arranging viewings, taking general phone calls into office, updating utility suppliers and Council Tax Department on changes in occupancy, data admin and general office duties.

What will I Learn?

  • Working in a fast paced environment, prioritisation, communication and teamwork will be developed along with knowledge of the Edinburgh Lettings market.
  • SVQ Level 2 / 3 in Business Administration
  • Touchstone encourage and support all staff in obtaining industry recognised ARLA qualifications in Lettings and Property Management.

What Qualifications / Qualities are required?

There is no minimum qualification requirements however National 5 or equivalent in English and Business Admin.  Experience using word and excel would be beneficial.
