Job Title:                        Business Administration – Modern Apprentice

Location:                        McCrae Training – East Kilbride

Hours:                              40 hours per week

Salary:                             £15,000 per annum

 

McCrae Training Ltd is a multi-award-winning Utility Sector training and consultancy business. Now trading in our 11th year, and with quality running at the core of everything we do as a Company, we are delighted to be expanding our team across multiple departments. As a result of securing new contracts, McCrae Training is looking for a Business Administration Modern Apprentice to join our growing team.

The role will require working across all areas within the Operations Admin Department. The role holder provides key daily support associated with planned and reactive activities within an office environment, from answering calls, filing, and processing mail (in/out), to accurately processing training programmes via digital platforms and paper-based systems and the invigilation of training courses.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely with colleagues to meet business targets and to develop excellent working relationships with staff across the business and within our Training Centre and Skills Academy. The apprentice’s responsibilities and accountabilities will be set out daily / weekly / monthly by their line manager and will be supported and developed via monthly 121 meetings).

Additional Information:

What a typical day might look like but not limited to:

• Data entry into internal/external corporate systems

• Meeting and liaising with candidates and clients

• Consulting with staff across departments

• Answering telephones and taking messages

• Managing incoming/outgoing electronic and standard mail

• Planning and organising of training and consultancy programmes

• Filing digital and hard copy data

• General administrative tasks on an individual and team basis

The candidate will be rewarded by completing an SVQ in Business & Administration together with a structured training and development programme.

 

English or Maths at National 5 or equivalent is desirable, together with IT competence in Microsoft applications.
