Bluebird Care Edinburgh is an award winning Care at Home provider, based in the Craigmillar area.  We provide a service to individuals to allow them to stay in their own homes for longer.  This service is provided to anyone over the age of 18, although we predominantly provide care for those over the age of 65.  Our care assistants provide personal care, medication, moving and handling, food preparation and companionship for our customers.  There are various office roles that support both the customers and the care assistants such as the care coordinator, the support supervisor, HR and training and accounts team.

Work Environment:

The role is office based and would involve being part of a small team.

What might a day in this job look like?

The role is varied and you would report directly to the office manager.  You would be responsible for meeting and greeting all visitors, setting up the training room, answering the phone and guide all calls to the relevant staff member, general administrative support to the office team and the directors, support HR with recruitment paperwork and preparation for training, collect the post and take out going post daily, support the office manager with stock takes and ordering of stationary and other office supplies.

What will I Learn?

You will be given plenty of opportunity to develop your team work, problem solving skills and both verbal and written communication.

You would be able to work towards your SVQ Level 2 / 3 in Business Administration

The office manager will support you to develop you general IT skills using bespoke IT packages plus Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.
